To round out its extensive organic vinegar offerings, Spectrum introduced two new items: an organic white wine vinegar blended with pear and another blended with pomegranate. These premium culinary products’ light, subtle flavor will appeal to serious gourmets as well as more mainstream consumers looking to add refined flavors to everyday meals. We were tasked to communicate richness, sophistication, and create appetite appeal with the design — while standing out in the cluttered sea of specialty labels in the gourmet vinegar aisle. The clean, uncluttered layout uses appealing photographs of the fruit and deep, rich colors. The label design complements the unique color of the vinegar, which shines through the clear glass bottles. The design also pays homage to Spectrum’s visual past using heritage design elements but in an entirely fresh, modern way. The result is a rich, elegant product that begs to be diplayed on the kitchen counter; its great shelf presence radiates in the store and at home!
