Sin Título Identity

Always excited to incorporate art into our work, we were thrilled to hear that longtime clients were launching a new venture: a contemporary art gallery focusing on emerging artists from Latin America through online exhibitions, pop-up galleries and other engagements.

The name of the gallery, Sin Título, or “untitled” in Spanish, is a playful nod to the art world, while leaving things open to interpretation. Much as the name does not impose any particular meaning to or influence on the artwork exhibited, we aimed to create a visual identity that wouldn’t compete with the art, but would impart a modern look that complements the contemporary nature of the artwork to be exhibited.

Our approach employs a clean modern typeface stacked to create a geometric structure. We added blocks of vibrant color to contrast the thin black letterforms. The accent mark becomes embedded in the shapes of the letters and is highlighted in bright red. The result is a lively yet refined mark that, with its hints of DeStijl and Mondrian, looks modern and forward while representing the vibrant colors and diversity of Latin America.
