Goldy’s Spreads

A longtime client of Benitez Design, Goldy’s Cheese spreads,felt the time was right for a package update for their line of handcrafted flavored cheese spreads. An ever-changing market landscape called for a new look to keep their flagship product fresh in the mind of their consumers. Since the goal of the project was an update and not a major overhaul, it was important to maintain familiarity and strong visual brand equities that defined the package, yet present them in a new way. We also wanted to accentuate the freshness of the various ingredients prominent in each flavor. The new package is simple, clean, and modern and puts the ingredients at center stage. Whereas their previous package incorporated illustration, we chose to use photography to really highlight the fresh-from-the-farmer’s-field feeling that the brand is known for. Carefully shot photography delivers on that vision, basking the ingredients in natural, diffused light. Richer, more subtle color tones and streamlined use of visual elements simplify and modernize the overall look. The result is a new package that pulls on the key Goldy’s brand visual cues and delivers them in a modern and contemporary design.
