Amato Architecture Identity

When we sat down with principal architect, Rebecca Amato, about what we should convey in her firm’s new identity, we discussed the aesthetics of the firm, their clients and what kind of work she envisioned doing in the years to come. Her love of modern homes, especially from the mid-twentieth century with their exposed structures, pure geometry, clean forms and connection to the outdoors was at the heart of her practice.

Our approach uses the clean lines and geometry in the firm’s architecture as inspiration to create a logo that plays with the form of a letter “A” as well as a roofline of a home. Clean, organized typography and warm earthy colors round out the design. The identity has stayed with the firm as it has grown, still relevant as they continue to provide innovative solutions for restaurant designs, small office interiors, commercial building upgrades and single family homes.
