LJL BioSystems had a great story to tell stockholders about their role in the drug development process—providing solutions to help navigate the discovery maze. In designing their 1999 Annual Report, the challenge was to develop a visual metaphor for this endeavor. Images of an illuminated maze support LJL's story, and the theme is effective in both print and electronic media.
